ALL SEWARD READS TOGETHER - 2008
The 2008 All Seward Reads Together title is Richard Power’s The Echo Maker. This best-selling novel takes place in Nebraska. After a young man flips his truck in a near-fatal accident, his sister comes to be with him as he recovers from his traumatic head injury. Unfortunately, as he heals it is discovered that he has developed a rare condition known as Capgras syndrome. This brain disorder makes one believe that people are imposters. His syndrome complicates the lives of those close to him and also makes it difficult to uncover the facts surrounding the accident. Seward Memorial Library has multiple copies of this novel available.
